Introducing: The Legal Dictionary

Share

A repository of high-quality, consistent clauses that can be found in commercial agreements. These clauses are AI-generated, using a fine-tuned large language model (LLM), then verified by our in-house Legal and Product team.

We want to democratise access to legal information

We want to combine the power of generative AI and legal professionals. LLMs can be used to automate a lot of legal work, and they should be used to do it - but within limits. By being aware of what LLMs are good at, and not so good at (yet), we can harness them in the legal industry to perform useful tasks and make knowledge work faster and easier, all whilst keeping the human in the loop and in control of the work.

Why did we create The Legal Dictionary?

Here at Robin AI, we are on a mission to make contracts simple, and a part of that is democratising legal services. The Legal Dictionary is a free resource that anyone can use to access consistently high-quality clauses found in commercial agreements. By providing this resource for free we hope to make access to legal services easier and ultimately make contracts simple.

The impact of LLMs, or large language models, is undeniable. It has enabled us to provide a resource like The Legal Dictionary for free. With their ability to generate human-like text and perform complex tasks that require logical reasoning and general knowledge, the potential applications of LLMs are vast and varied. From improving customer service interactions to automating content creation and analysis, LLMs are poised to revolutionise the way we live and work. At Robin AI, we recognise the immense potential of LLMs in the legal industry and are committed to staying at the forefront of this transformation by continuing to innovate and develop cutting-edge technology that harnesses the power of LLMs to deliver real-world solutions. We’ve partnered with Anthropic, a company focused on responsible and safe AI, and have integrated their LLMs into our platform to ensure that our AI is as reliable as possible.

How can I use it?

It’s very simple to use, you can go to The Legal Dictionary now, search for the clause that you need, copy it and use it in your contract. As a bonus, you also get an explanation of the clause in plain English and if you are really keen, some legal history.

Once you have copied the clause, you can use it in whichever contract you might require. You can also paste the clause directly into our contract drafting tool, Draft. Check it out here. Sign-up is easy and free.
